Shan Parikh, MD, PhD, was selected as Consultant of the Month by Yale’s Emergency Medicine Residency Program. Parikh is a clinical fellow in cardiovascular medicine and a member of Yale's ABIM Physician-Scientist Research Pathway. The ED Consultant of the Month award team selected Parikh for his responsiveness and helpful attitude.

Parikh began his fellowship training last year. He completed bachelor’s and master’s degrees in physiology and neurobiology at the University of Connecticut, and later pursued a medical degree and a PhD in pharmacology from Vanderbilt University. After graduating, he hopes to investigate novel therapies for the management of coronary artery disease.
