    Biography

Santiago Clocchiatti-Tuozzo, MD, MHS, is a Neurology Resident at Yale New Haven Hospital. He completed his medical degree at the University of Buenos Aires and a Master of Health Science in Bioinformatics at Yale. Before residency, he was a T32 Postdoctoral Fellow in Geriatric Clinical Epidemiology and Aging-Related Research in the Department of Neurology at Yale.

Dr. Clocchiatti-Tuozzo’s research lies at the intersection of neurology, aging, and data science, with a focus on genetic epidemiology and bioinformatics. His work explores how genetic variation and related phenotypes—such as cardiovascular and neurological risk factors—shape brain health and aging-related outcomes, including dementia and cognitive decline, besides vascular-related outcomes, like ischemic stroke, cerebral small vessel disease, and intracerebral hemorrhage. A central emphasis of his research is understanding heterogeneity of treatment effects and pharmacological responses in neurological disease. He integrates multiple data sources, including genomic datasets, neuroimaging, electronic health records, and other -omics technologies, to advance precision medicine approaches in neurology.
