    Clinical Care

    Overview

Rozalyn Levine Rodwin, MD, specializes in pediatric hematology and oncology, with a focus on childhood cancer survivorship. She is dedicated to improving the long-term health outcomes of children who have overcome cancer, addressing the chronic conditions that can arise from cancer treatments.

"Most childhood cancer patients will be cured of their cancer,” Dr. Rodwin says. “However, even after they're cured, survivors are at risk for a host of chronic conditions from the treatment they received, which can affect them for the rest of their lives."

As the director of the HEROS Childhood Cancer Survivorship Clinic at Smilow Cancer Hospital, Dr. Rodwin leads efforts to provide specialized care for survivors, ensuring they receive the necessary follow-up and support. "My patients and their families inspire me to work as a pediatric oncologist,” she says. “It is a privilege to be part of their care, and to help them navigate their diagnosis.”

Also an assistant professor at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Rodwin’s research aims to minimize treatment-related toxicities in childhood cancer survivors. She completed her medical degree at New York Medical College, followed by a clinical fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at Yale School of Medicine.
