    Biography

    Dr. Monica Roosa Ordway, PhD, APRN, PPCNP-BC, FAAN, is an Associate Professor at Yale School of Nursing and Co-Director of the Biobehavioral & Translational Research Laboratory. A nationally recognized expert in pediatric sleep health and health equity, she leads an innovative research program centered on improving sleep in early childhood as a pathway to lifelong well-being. Dr. Ordway is the creator of the Sleep Well, Bee Well intervention and has advanced its adaptation for pediatric primary care and Early Head Start through NIH-funded trials. Her scholarly interests bridge developmental science, community-engaged research, and biobehavioral methods, with a focus on reducing disparities in vulnerable populations. A Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and a board member of the International Pediatric Sleep Association, she is widely published and frequently sought as a collaborator, speaker, and mentor. Through her teaching and leadership, Dr. Ordway is shaping the next generation of nurse scientists while continuing to translate her discoveries into practices that support children and families around the world.
