Karishma Mehra, MBBS, is an assistant professor of medicine (medical Oncology and hematology) and cares for patients with breast cancer as part of the Center for Breast Cancer at Smilow Cancer Hospital and Yale Cancer Center in New Haven and North Haven. Dr. Mehra earned her medical degree from Seth G. S. Medical College & KEM Hospital in Mumbai, India, and completed residency at Mount Sinai - St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital Center where she served as Chief Resident. She completed her fellowship in medical oncology as part of the Yale Medical Oncology-Hematology Fellowship Program.
Dr. Mehra was previously an attending physician at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center/Trinity Health of New England, where she was also director of the Cancer Genetics and Prevention Program. During her fellowship, Dr. Mehra worked on multiple clinical trials studying the efficacy of various treatment options in metastatic breast cancer. She has been an adjunct professor in the section of medical oncology at Yale School of Medicine since 2017.
