    Overview

Joshua Cornman-Homonoff, MD, is an interventional radiologist who treats conditions such as portal hypertension (high blood pressure in the vein that brings blood to the liver), lymphatic diseases (disorders affecting the system that drains fluid and helps fight infection), and venous thromboembolism (blood clots in veins that can travel elsewhere in the body).

He offers minimally invasive procedures that use imaging guidance to diagnose and treat these conditions effectively. Dr. Cornman-Homonoff’s work often involves inserting small tubes or devices into blood vessels to improve circulation or reduce pressure and swelling. Through careful imaging, he can target problem areas precisely and deliver treatments with reduced recovery times compared to traditional surgery.

As an assistant professor of clinical radiology and biomedical imaging at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Cornman-Homonoff is involved in research aimed at improving clinical efficiency and reducing costs in interventional radiology. His work includes standardizing reporting processes and enhancing the quality of patient care.

Dr. Cornman-Homonoff completed his medical training at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by an internship in general surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital. He then pursued a residency in diagnostic radiology at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and completed fellowship training in interventional radiology at Yale New Haven Hospital.
