    Biography

    Daniela Renedo, MD is a Neuroendovascular Surgery Fellow in the Department of Neurosurgery at Yale University. She completed her MD at Austral University and neurosurgery residency training at the Hospital de Clínicas José de San Martín in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

    After moving to the United States, Dr. Renedo pursued advanced research training in population genetics, genomic medicine, data science, and single-cell analysis as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Falcone Lab at Yale. Her research focuses on the socioeconomic and biological underpinnings of neurovascular disease, with an emphasis on multi-omics approaches, large-scale population cohorts, and precision medicine.

    Overview

    Dr. Renedo is deeply engaged in translational research at the intersection of population health, molecular biology, and advanced neurovascular care. Her work leverages large cohorts such as the UK Biobank and All of Us to investigate genetic, proteomic, and socioeconomic risk factors for stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and related neurovascular conditions. She applies methodologies including Mendelian randomization, multi-omics integration, and single-cell transcriptomics to uncover mechanisms driving cerebrovascular disease and to identify biomarkers that may inform precision medicine.

    In addition to her population-based research, Dr. Renedo is developing innovative clinical applications of artificial intelligence, including patient-facing educational platforms that combine imaging, risk stratification tools, and personalized video communication. Through her multidisciplinary projects and collaborations across Neurology, Neurosurgery, Radiology, and Data Science, she aims to translate biological insights into clinical strategies that reduce disparities and improve outcomes for patients with cerebrovascular disease.
