    Biography

    Christine Minerowicz, MD, is an assistant professor and the current Chair and CLIA Laboratory Medical Director of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Yale New Haven Health’s Bridgeport Hospital and affiliated campus sites. Her clinical focus is thoracic pathology with generalist coverage of surgical pathology and laboratory medicine, while her laboratory administration focus is operational efficiency, quality improvement, and infrastructure modernization.

    Dr. Minerowicz is board certified in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology. She received her bachelor and medical degrees as part of the Rutgers University BA/MD program in 2007. She served in the US Navy from 2007-2011, during which time she completed a Transitional Internship year at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (2008). Dr. Minerowicz subsequently completed her pathology residency training at Rutgers University (2015) and subspecialty thoracic pathology fellowship training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (2017).

    She returned to Rutgers University (2017-2020) as an assistant professor of pathology, where she directed departmental programs in graduate medical education, quality, gross pathology and the regional autopsy service. She joined the Yale Pathology Department in October 2020.

    Outside of Yale, Dr. Minerowicz is a member of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) House of Delegates, serves on the CAP action group for state medical societies, and advocates annually at Hill Day. Dr. Minerowicz was instrumental in re-starting the Connecticut Society of Pathologists (incorporated 2023), served as the first president (2023-2025) and currently serves on the board of directors, as secretary-treasurer and webmaster.
