Special speakers and musicians honored the late Ob/Gyn surgeon-scientist throughout the Saturday morning service. Attendees included department Chair Hugh Taylor, MD, United States Representative Rosa DeLauro (D-CT-03), who had been one of Schwartz' patients, several former colleagues and trainees, Schwartz’ wife, Arlene, and his children.
After the memorial service, the department held its 17th Annual Yale Obstetrical and Gynecological Society's (YOGS) Annual Alumni Reunion.
