    March 04, 2024

Meet Meghan Gaudioso, who enjoys being part of a community that helps patients and families get the answers they need.

Why did you decide to work at Yale School of Medicine?

I have always been interested in the medical field and knew I wanted to work at Yale School of Medicine for a while. My son was born with a lung condition, and I learned so much through my research and by asking questions, which helped us get his diagnosis quickly. Being a small part of a community that helps families get the answers they need is rewarding.

What do you do in your current role?

I work with the Section of Cardiovascular Medicine to provide human resources and operational support. I am the first point of contact for any HR-related questions faculty and staff may have. I also work on faculty searches and help onboard new hires to welcome them to Yale and provide a smooth transition.

How did you become interested in your line of work?

I like helping people and solving problems, something that happens daily in human resources. Every day is different, with a new problem or question, and I can learn and research while helping someone out.

What do you enjoy about working at Yale?

I truly love my job—I love the sense of community that Yale provides. Not only do I work with some of the best colleagues in the department, but I work with some of the best doctors, too! It is amazing to see all the interesting research they are passionate about taking place within Yale School of Medicine.

    What is your favorite pastime?

I love to decorate. I can spend hours looking for the perfect decoration. But my favorite pastime is spending time with my family and rooting on my three kids while they play sports, which keeps me very busy.
