Pochu Ho, MD, assistant professor of psychiatry, has been selected as an Education Scholar by the Association of Directors of Medical Student Education in Psychiatry (ADMSEP).
The national program is intended to provide participants with knowledge and mentorship necessary to pursue scholarly activities in medical student education. Dr. Ho is one of six psychiatry medical student educators chosen through a competitive application process.
The program duration is two years. Scholars will participate in workshops at two ADMSEP annual meetings and will develop and execute a scholarly project that pertains to medical student education. They will also be assigned a mentor from ADMSEP senior leadership and a local mentor at their home institution.
Dr. Ho is associate clerkship director of the Yale Department of Psychiatry’s medical student education section. She is director of the psychiatric consultation service at the VA Healthcare System in West Haven.
