Ruth Asch, PhD, associate research scientist in psychiatry, has been selected as a recipient of a 2024 Society of Biological Psychiatry (SOBP) Travel Fellowship Award.
Travel awards recognize excellence in scholarly activity by junior researchers by providing the opportunity to attend the annual meeting and participate in special programming for the awardees. The awards are supported by the Society of Biological Psychiatry and in part by Elsevier, publisher of the society’s journals: Biological Psychiatry and Biological Psychiatry: Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuroimaging.
Asch’s abstract, “Lower SV2A synaptic density following chronic stress and relationships with cognitive impairment: an in vivo [18F]SynVesT-1 and PET study in male and female rats,” was selected for oral presentation as part of the Rising Star Showcase at SOBP’s Annual Meeting May 9 – 11, 2024 in Austin, Texas.
