Yale Surgery 5th Annual Research Day Focuses on Healing & Repair

February 28, 2022

The Yale School of Medicine Department of Surgery's fifth annual Research Day will be held April 20, 2022 as an online event, featuring keynote speaker, stem cell scientist and craniofacial surgeon at Stanford University, Dr. Michael Longaker.

“Dr. Longaker is a surgeon-scientist on the frontlines of scar treatment and research. He brings very real and valuable perspective on how to drive an idea across the research spectrum T0 through T4,” said Vice Chair of Research, Dr. Peter J. Gruber.

“From both a content perspective, and philosophically, the topic of healing and repair is something we as surgeons and scientists can all relate to, especially now as we face real the consequences of the pandemic on our individual and collective work in the lab,” he said.

Per tradition, the event will feature both a poster session, and featured talks by the authors of top-scoring abstracts. All members of the surgical community are encouraged to participate.

The deadline to submit an abstract is March 15, 2022. Click here to submit an abstract.
