Hematopathology Fellowship programs join NRMP associated Fellowship Match

July 02, 2024

Under Dr Alexa Siddon’s leadership as prior Chair of the Education Committee of the Society for Hematopathology, and with the support of the current Education Committee, for the first time the requisite minimum number of Hematopathology Fellowship programs across the country have agreed to join in a National Residency Matching Program (NRMP)-associated Fellowship Match. Currently, the Match for the 2026-2027 academic year has 71 of the total 86 fellowship programs who will accept applicants through the Fellowship Match Program. This has been an area of consideration for two decades and is designed to make the process easier, more predictable, and more equitable for applicants.
