Biography
Jonadab dos Santos Silva is a physician and researcher with a background in neurology and neuroimaging. He graduated with a degree in medicine from the Fluminense Federal University in Brazil. He also attended UCLA during medical school. He was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Icahn School of Medicine, where he worked on the clinical and cognitive manifestations of multiple sclerosis using ultra-high-field MRI to study the mechanisms of cortical lesion formation and repair, as well as how these processes are related to brain remodeling and disease progression. He has worked with various modalities in clinical studies, such as structural and functional MRI, EEG source localization, and tractography. His primary interests are the interplay between brain lesions and their clinical and cognitive manifestations, and his work aims to translate cutting-edge research into clinical practice, enhancing diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for patients with neurological conditions.
