Rheumatology Translational Research Laboratory Biorepository

The Rheumatology Translational Research Laboratory Biorepository was created to support translational research geared towards understanding the pathophysiology of rheumatic, connective tissue and autoimmune diseases in order to speed the discovery and implementation of new treatments. The study will use standardized protocols for collection, transport and storage of of samples from patients. Serum, plasma, DNA, skin biopsies, peripheral blood mononuclear cells and other tissues are collected and banked. Associated clinical data is also obtained and stored in secure, web-based disease specific REDCap databases to provide a vital research resource. The goal of the biorespository is to create a ready tissue bank whereby interested investigators may apply for access to sample and clinical data for broad use in sound biomedical research. ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT04402086
