Yufeng Liu

Yufeng is a PhD student (Immunobiology track). His research interest lies in unravelling the spatiotemporal pattern of senescent cell subtypes and their interactions with other cells within two important secondary lymphoid organs, the spleen and lymph nodes. He will employ a comparative analysis involving rodents of different ages and species with varying lifespans. He will utilize high throughput and resolution techniques including CODEX multiplexed tissue imaging, DBiT-based spatial multi-omics sequencing, and single‐cell RNA sequencing, followed by target validation and mechanism discovery. Through these approaches, he aims to uncover the mechanism of inflammaging novel therapeutic targets and develop potential strategies to mitigate the effects of immune-aging.
