Biography
Kathleen Balestracci, PhD, MSW, is an Associate Research Scientist at the Yale University School of Medicine and Associate Director of Quality Measurement at the Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE). Dr. Balestracci oversees the development of quality measures for the assessment of health care delivery, with expertise in patient-reported outcome (PRO) measures and electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs). She has been research faculty at the Yale School of Medicine since 2002, first at the School of Public Health from 2002 through 2005, then at the Child Study Center from 2005 through 2016. Prior to her work at CORE, Dr. Balestracci was the Director of Research and Evaluation for IICAPS Services and In-Home Programs at the Child Study Center, with primary responsibility for the statewide evaluation of the Intensive In-home Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Service (IICAPS) at 20 sites across Connecticut. Dr. Balestracci received her doctoral degree from Yale University in Epidemiology and Public Health and her social work degree in policy and planning from the University of Connecticut School of Social Work.
