Biography

Catiele Antunes graduated from Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and completed her internship, residency, and Chief Residency in Internal Medicine at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. She then completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. She has expertise and interest in esophageal motility disorders, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and functional esophageal pathologies. Dr. Antunes is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hiking, baking, and cooking plant-based meals.

Overview

Catiele Antunes, MD, is a gastroenterologist who specializes in digestive diseases. Her focus is caring for patients with esophageal diseases such as complex swallowing and motility disorders, achalasia, refractory gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), unexplained chest pain, eosinophilic and esophagitis.
