The Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine (APM) has installed Catherine Chiles, MD, and Hochang Benjamin Lee, MD as Fellows of the Academy.

The fellowships, presented at the organization's annual meeting in November 2011, are bestowed upon Academy members who manifest active participation as educators, researchers, or administrators in the fields of consultation-liaison psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine.

Dr. Chiles is an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Yale and has served as the Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison Service Director at the West Haven campus of the VA Connecticut Healthcare System since 1995.

Dr. Lee joined the Yale Psychiatry Department in 2011 following an appointment as Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and Director of Research Development at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. He directs the Psychological Medicine Service at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

APM represents psychiatrists dedicated to the advancement of medical science, education, and healthcare for persons with comorbid psychiatric and general medical conditions and provides national and international leadership in the furtherance of those goals. The Academy vigorously promotes a global agenda of excellence in clinical care for patients with comorbid psychiatric and general medical conditions by actively influencing the direction and process of research and public policy and promoting interdisciplinary education.
