Yale's Section of Digestive Diseases offers a one-year, fully-funded Advanced Inflammatory Bowel Disease Fellowship.
Program Description:
The Advanced IBD Fellowship will offer supervised clinical training in both the outpatient and inpatient care of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
The Yale Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program, founded in 2001, cares for a large population of patients with IBD, which offers a breadth of clinical exposure for the advanced IBD fellow.
One of the highlights of the program is exposure and teaching from the multiple disciplines involved in the multidisciplinary care of IBD including pathology, radiology, and colorectal surgery. In addition, the IBD fellow will take part in endoscopic management of IBD patients such as endoscopic disease assessment, colorectal cancer surveillance, pouchoscopies, use of advanced endoscopic imaging such as NBI/chromoendoscopy, and endoscopic balloon dilation. Clinical research and mentorship are also integral parts of the fellowship.
The fellow will receive well-rounded clinical and research experience in IBD.
