Carlos Mena-Hurtado, MD, associate professor of medicine and co-director of Yale’s Vascular Medicine Outcomes (VAMOS) program, was appointed to serve on the Society for Vascular Surgery Patient Safety Organization (SVS PSO) Governing Council. Mena-Hurtado will contribute to decisions regarding budgets, contracts, policies and procedures, publications, and advocacy efforts on behalf of the SVS PSO.
The Governing Council includes representatives from the SVS, American Venous Forum, American College of Cardiology and Society for Vascular Medicine. The SVS PSO was established to improve safety and quality of care delivery for all patients undergoing vascular procedures.
