Kenneth Roberts, MD, has been elected a Fellow of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (FASTRO), a prestigious award given to recognize outstanding members for their leadership role in radiation oncology and major service to ASTRO. Dr. Roberts will receive his FASTRO designation at an awards ceremony in Washington D.C. during ASTRO’s 66th Annual Meeting, being held September 29- October 2, 2024.
Dr. Roberts is a Professor of Therapeutic Radiology and cares for patients with pediatric malignancies, lymphomas, leukemias, sarcomas, colo-anal cancers, and benign inflammatory conditions. His clinical research interests focus on combined modality therapy in cancer management, late effects of therapy including secondary malignancies, and the utilization of brachytherapy in both malignant and benign disease.
The ASTRO Fellows program recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the society and to the field of radiation oncology through research, education, patient care, and service to the field. Since its inception in 2006, the FASTRO designation has been awarded to only 421 of ASTRO’s more than 10,000 members worldwide.
