Cody Pietras, clinical trial design and regulatory affairs specialist, was recently appointed as the executive director of the Yale Cardiovascular Research Group (YCRG).
After graduating from Dartmouth College with a degree in Psychology & Behavioral Neuroscience, Pietras began his career in cardiovascular clinical research at the Cardiovascular Research Foundation. He joined the Yale School of Medicine in 2010 and was promoted three years later to associate director of scientific affairs at YCRG.
“Cody has been exemplary in supporting our team over the past 10 years, and he will be instrumental in the continued success of YCRG as we continue to grow,” said Alexandra Lansky MD, a professor of medicine and medical director of YCRG.
Pietras has led the U.S. regulatory strategy for several novel cardiovascular devices and has coauthored more than 30 manuscripts and book chapters on topics related to cardiovascular clinical trials. Pietras celebrated a milestone anniversary at Yale earlier this year for a decade of service in the field of clinical research.
In his new role, Pietras will oversee all research activities and will collaborate with the medical director on organizational strategy to support the continued growth of YCRG.
