Yale Department of Psychiatry residents Robin Bonomi, MD, PhD; Yang Jae Lee, MD; and Sarah Abdallah, MD, have been named the 2024 recipients of the Lustman Award for Psychiatric Research.
The award, established in honor of the late Professor Seymour L. Lustman and made possible by a generous contribution from the Seymour L. Lustman Memorial Fund, are presented annually to outstanding physician-scientists for excellence in research carried out during their training.
This year’s honorees will present their award-winning research at Grand Rounds on Friday, June 14.
The 2024 Lustman Award recipients are:
First Place: Robin Bonomi, MD, PhD. Paper being submitted to Biological Psychiatry: “Evidence of HDAC6 suppression in PTSD”
Honorable Mention: Yang Jae Lee, MD. Paper submitted to PLOS Mental Health: “Differences in Mental Illness Stigma by Disorder and Gender: Population-Based Vignette Randomized Experiment in Rural Uganda”
Honorable Mention: Sarah Abdallah, MD. Paper under review with the Journal of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry: “Characterizing rare DNA copy-number variants in pediatric obsessive-compulsive disorder”
