Azmi Ahmad, PhD, a postdoctoral fellow in the Cardiovascular Molecular Imaging Laboratory at the Yale School of Medicine, received the Best Basic-Technical Abstract Award from the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC) 26th Annual Scientific Session and Exhibition.
Led by Mehran M. Sadeghi, MD, the Cardiovascular Molecular Imaging Laboratory studies the pathophysiology of vascular remodeling and inflammation. Ahmad presented his work, “18F Sodium Fluoride PET Imaging for in vivo Evaluation of Calcification Dynamics in a Novel Murine Model of Calcific Aortic Valve Disease” at the ASNC Young Investigator Competition on October 1.
