NEEDS ASSESSMENT Diversity in surgery is recognized as lagging behind other medical fields in part due to the perception of the hierarchical nature of the specialty. This Grand Rounds will celebrate the strides made in augmenting diversity in the Yale Department of Surgery, while simultaneously acknowledging the needs to be more inclusive and less biased in the future.
