William C. Sessa, Ph.D., Professor, Department of Pharmacology, is a recipient of a MERIT Award for $2,389,655 from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI).
The NHLBI has awarded a Method to Extend Research in Time (MERIT) award to William C. Sessa, Ph.D., Professor, Department of Pharmacology. This mechanism is designed to provide long-term, stable support to investigators who are considered outstanding, highly productive researchers. The initial five-year grant totaling $2,389,655 is titled “Endothelial NOS by protein to protein interactions” and begins on March 17, 2009 and may be extended for an additional five years.
