    Overview

Richard S. Bercik, MD, is an expert on such female pelvic floor disorders as urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. Approximately 20 million American women experience loss of bladder control, while about 3 million women will have organ prolapse. “We have the ability to markedly improve a patient's quality of life and to help her return to normal function,” Dr. Bercik says.

He focuses his clinical research on advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery, pelvic floor reconstruction, vaginal hysterectomy for the enlarged/fibroid uterus and vaginal fistulae.
