Biography
Dr. James Giles is a vascular neurologist at Yale School of Medicine. He completed medical school and a PhD in neuroscience in 2013 at The University of Manchester in the United Kingdom. He moved to the U.S. in 2014 to complete neurology residency, stroke fellowship and further stroke research training at Washington University School of Medicine. He also undertook a clinical research fellowship at Oxford University in 2020.
He moved to Yale in 2022, where he continues to take care of patients with cerebrovascular disease including ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke. His clinical and translational research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health and the American Heart Association.

James A. Giles, MD, PhD, is a vascular neurologist who specializes in the care of patients with cerebrovascular diseases, including ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes.
