    Overview

Adeniyi Fisayo, MD, cares for patients with a variety of neurological disorders that affect vision. This is work that can be especially challenging. “I strive to empower patients to tap into their own inner strength to face challenges that lie ahead, while reminding them that there may be technological advances to make their journey easier,” he says.

Neuro-ophthalmic disorders are relatively rare, and many problems encountered by a neuro-ophthalmologist have potential for severe visual or neurologic impairment, Dr. Fisayo says. He often collaborates with other specialists to find the best possible solution for each patient. “Having a practice at Yale Medicine is great because of the ready access to world-class specialists with whom I co-manage patients, and with whom there is a constant exchange of ideas about the best ways to improve the patient’s quality of life,” he says.

Dr. Fisayo is an assistant professor of neurology, and of ophthalmology and visual science at Yale School of Medicine.
