INFORMATION FOR

Meet Latrecia Bromell, Project Associate, Center for Outcomes Research & Evaluation

    May 30, 2023

Why did you decide to work at Yale School of Medicine?

Having commuted from New Haven to New York City and to Stamford for over 20 years while sharing caregiving duties with a parent, I was looking for work closer to home. I had been in the corporate sector and wanted to be part of an organization that was committed to health and wellness.

Have you been involved in any projects that you are particularly proud of?

Within the Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE), I am and have been part of the planning and execution of various office events, as well as diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) events, trainings, and workshops. I am also part of our health equity events team, through which we plan various talks, workshops, and trainings for our staff by bringing in outside consultants and members from the Yale community.

What do you look forward to most?

I look forward to continuing to collaborate with CORE’s great staff, growing our DEI and health equity brand, and participating in events and outreach through the Yale School of Medicine community.

What do you love about working at Yale?

I enjoy collaborating with different teams and individuals and helping to provide continued learning through events, workshops, and trainings. Yale is diverse and inclusive and welcomes ideas and suggestions.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

I am an extrovert, and I love planning. My work allows me to use my technical, operational, and creative sides.

What is a fun fact about you?

I’m a singer, and I have modeled for Calvin Klein at New York Fashion Week.

One piece of advice you will never forget?

Stay humble. There are those who will never see their name in lights or receive accolades, but when you do something for the greater good, it does not go unnoticed.
