    January 17, 2022

The Huh Lab in the Department of Pathology at Yale School of Medicine invites qualified candidates to apply for the positions of Postdoctoral Associate and Postgraduate Associate.

The lab is focused on understanding the process of cell plasticity and the underlying mechanisms in preneoplastic lesions in the stomach and liver with a goal of identifying novel therapeutic targets. Generally engineered mouse models and organoid cultures derived from human and mouse are utilized.

Applicants for the Postdoctoral Associate position should have a doctoral degree in a biology-related field and prior experience in mouse research. Previous experience with organoid culture is desirable, but not required.

Candidates should be highly motivated in research and have a strong record of scientific accomplishments, including international peer-reviewed publications; scientific presentations are also required. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to present findings at national and international meetings and publish results as a lead author.

Applicants for the Postgraduate Associate position should have a bachelor's or master's degree in a biology-related field and prior experience in mouse research. Previous experience with organoid culture is desirable, but not required.

The Postgraduate Associate will be mentored directly by Won Jae Huh, MD, PhD, Principal Investigator of the lab. It will include daily hands-on mentoring and weekly meetings to discuss scientific progress and career development. The associate will have the opportunity to present work in lab/institutional/national meetings and is encouraged to contribute to manuscripts for publication. The associate will receive training in mouse genetics, genotyping, multiplexed immunofluorescent microscopy, organoid culture, and other techniques commonly used in the lab.
