Biography

Peter Dottino, MD, FACOG, is a Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences and cares for patients as part of the Gynecologic Oncology Program at Smilow Cancer Hospital. A nationally and internationally recognized expert in operative laparoscopy, Dr. Dottino joins Yale from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where he was co-Director of the Gynecologic Cancer Translational Research Program.

Dr. Dottino received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and a fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital. He has published numerous articles and chapters in medical journals and textbooks and is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in OB/GYN and Gynecologic Oncology and is an active member in numerous professional societies and organizations. He is co-Founder of MDDx- Diagnostic Biomarker Research Company and conducts research in developing diagnostic and screening tools for gynecologic cancers.
