Joao P. De Aquino, MD, a fourth-year resident in the Yale Department of Psychiatry, has been selected to receive the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry’s (AAAP) Early Career Addiction Psychiatry Award.
Applicants are chosen based on the quality of their research and their commitment to the field of Addiction Psychiatry.
De Aquino will attend the AAAP annual meeting December 7-10 in San Diego. He will present his research at the meeting’s Paper Session on December 9.
In 2016, De Aquino was recognized by the American Psychiatric Association at its Research Colloquium for Junior Investigators.
