Sierra Ottilie-Kovelman works on several projects at CORE, largely on Digital Quality Measurement for hospitals. She recently graduated from the Yale School of Public Health with her Master's of Public Health, during which time she worked in the YNHH Emergency Departments under Drs. Gettel and Hwang on quality of care and care transition studies, specifically for the elderly patient population. In the summer of 2022, she completed an internship with the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute under Dr. Kaspar Wyss, where she worked on three papers: one on health systems resilience, one on lifetime costs of post-TB COPD in LMICs, and one on methodological validity of WhatsApp for survey distribution in Tanzania. Sierra completed her Bachelor's of Science in Global Health and Psychology from the University of California, San Diego, during which time she worked in a variety of research settings from human milk oligosaccharide research with Dr. Lars Bode, to young breast cancer survivorship quality of life, and social cognitive developmental psychology.
