Biography
Sana Shah is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner working in the Department of Neurosurgery Tumor at Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH). In her role, she functions as an integral part of the healthcare team and provides a comprehensive, patient-focused approach to manage her patients. She utilizes operational knowledge and expertise in providing specialized healthcare services to successfully manage patients with all types of primary brain tumors, including but not limited to: meningiomas, acoustic neuromas (vestibular schwannomas), and gliomas (astrocytomas, oligodendrogliomas, GBMs). Sana has been a critical care nurse for over 10 years and has worked in three different ICU settings, including Northwell Health, Stamford Health, and YNHH–with experience in serving medical, surgical, trauma, cardiothoracic, neurological, and neurosurgical ICU patients. Sana began her experience as a nurse at YNHH in 2017, working in the Surgical-Trauma ICU for 6.5 years before transitioning into the APRN role. Sana received her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from College of Staten Island, and Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from Sacred Heart University.
