First year PA students and faculty visited Yale School of Management's Evans Hall on April 7th to broaden their understanding of leadership, policy, and innovation through participation in the Yale Health Care Conference. This conference is a joint effort between the Yale School of Management and the Health Professional Schools at Yale University that brings together professionals, scholars, and students to engage in an instructive conversation concerning current healthcare issues. Throughout the first year PA curriculum students enroll in a master course focused on Practice, Policy, and Ethics. The spring semester of this course is focused on Policy and culminates with the Conference. Noteworthy speakers such as Patrick Conway, MD, MSc, the CMS Acting Principal Deputy Administrator and Deputy Administrator for Innovation and Quality & CMS Chief Medical Officer were in attendance this year.
