INFORMATION FOR

Admissions Policies

The Yale Physician Associate Program is committed to the principles of equal opportunity in education. In accordance with Yale University nondiscrimination policy and Yale School of Medicine nondiscrimination policy, the Physician Associate Program does not discriminate in admissions against individuals on the basis of race, sex, color, religion, disability, illness, age, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, veteran status, national or ethnic origin, or socioeconomic background. There are no specific policies or practices that favor specific groups of applicants. Each application is reviewed and the merits are considered individually.

We do not accept previous experience or medical training for advanced placement in the PA program. All students are expected to complete all didactic and clinical elements of the training.

Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)

Yale School of Medicine welcomes applicants regardless of documented or undocumented immigration status and endorses the values of the University as stated by President Peter Salovey in 2016:

Yale’s commitment to its students is long-standing, and I am dedicated to maintaining and strengthening the supports and resources we have in place. We admit students without regard to immigration status, and our financial aid policies assure that no student will be denied an education because of immigration status. These policies will continue.
