For 14 of the past 17 years, Yale Ob/Gyn has placed as a top 50 provider in U.S. News & World Report's "Best Hospitals for Obstetrics & Gynecology" listing. Most recently, we ranked #4 in the nation. Not only is this the highest ranking the department has ever achieved, it is the highest ranking for any Yale department or service. Yale Ob/Gyn has also been rated as “High Performing” in the USN&WR Maternity Hospital, Uterine Cancer, and Ovarian Cancer treatment categories. Furthermore, the department ranked #9 in the country and #15 in the world in the Newsweek Ob/Gyn World’s Best Specialized Hospital ratings.
Only two other hospitals in the United States can claim paralleled success in these metrics in 2023.
While we are proud of this recognition, it does not completely reflect the true success and stature of the department. Yet, this ranking impacts the overall reputation of both the hospitals and the medical school and has proven to be a measurable factor in shaping patients’ perceptions about where to seek the very best medical care.
