Dr Chirag Parikh has been awarded the American Society of Nephrology 2017 Young Investigator Award
Congratulations to Dr. Chirag R. Parikh, who has been awarded the American Society of Nephrology (ASN) Young Investigator Award. The award will be presented to Dr. Parikh at ASN’s annual meeting, ASN Kidney Week 2017, held October 31 – November 5 in New Orleans. Every year, the Young Investigator Award is presented to one individual 45 years of age or younger “with an outstanding record of achievement and creativity in basic or patient-oriented research related to the functions and diseases of the kidney.”
Huckins to Receive 2023 International Society of Psychiatric Genetics Theodore Reich Early Career Award
Laura Huckins, PhD, associate professor of psychiatry, has been awarded the 2023 International Society of Psychiatric Genetics (ISPG) Theodore Reich Early Career Award. Huckins was selected for the award based on her published work describing the genetic underpinnings of eating disorders and PTSD as well as for her service to the psychiatric genetics community.
Christine Gummerson, MD Honored as Consultant of the Year

Associate Professor of Dermatology Christopher Bunick, MD, PhD, is the recipient of the The American Acne and Rosacea Society’s (AARS) 2023 Research Scholar Award. Yadav Receives American Epilepsy Society Postdoctoral Research Fellowship
The American Epilepsy Society (AES) has awarded Postdoctoral Associate Taruna Yadav, PhD with a $50,000 Postdoctoral Research Fellowship. This competitive fellowship supports Dr. Yadav’s research into using a wearable technology - the ARTiE Watch - to quantify impaired consciousness in epilepsy.
