Biography
Dr. Saria Hassan is an Instructor in General Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. She is core faculty at the Equity Research Innovation Center. She is certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and spent her early years as a Primary Care Physician for the under-served in New Haven, CT. Research
Overview
My current research projects include a multi-site diabetes prevention intervention in the Caribbean, understanding the intergenerational factors that contribute to childhood obesity in the Caribbean, development of strategies to reduce morbidity and mortality due to non-communicable diseases after natural disaster, and capacity strengthening in implementation science in low-and-middle-income countries.
