- Patrick G. O’Connor, MD is the Dan Adams and Amanda Adams Professor of General Medicine at the Yale University of Medicine and serves as the Chief of the Department of General Internal Medicine. Dr. O’Connor has focused his research on the interface between care and addiction medicine.

Dr. William C. Becker is a general internist with clinical epidemiology, addiction medicine and pain management training, whose research, educational and clinical efforts broadly aim to improve the quality of chronic pain treatment in general medical settings, especially in the complex overlap of chronic pain and opioid use disorder. He directs the Opioid Reassessment Clinic at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System and is PI or co-PI of several research projects through the VA, NIH, PCORI and the FDA.Vice Chief, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Karen E. Brown, MD is an experienced Internist with a demonstrated skill in Healthcare Information Technology (HIT), Healthcare Management. She is active in leadership in preventive health guidelines and EMR implementation at YNHHS and member of the Clinical Integration Steering Group. She became Medical director of primary care service line in Northeast Medical Group as of January 2020. Previously, she worked at Whitney Internal Medicine, bringing eleven years’ experience caring for patients at YNHH Adult Primary Care Center, where she was named director in 2002.
