January 25, 2024

Erin Davidowicz, MD, fourth-year resident in the Yale Department of Psychiatry, was selected for the Advanced Research Fellowship in Women’s Health through the VA Connecticut Healthcare System.

The fellowship offers immersive training experiences in women’s health research, policy, and clinical care. It provides post-residency, post-doctoral research, education, and clinical learning opportunities to eligible physicians and associated health professionals.

Davidowicz will hold a position as a post-doctoral researcher in the fellowship; the fellowship will provide her with resources for her advancement as a women's health researcher. The fellowship is specifically sponsoring her research on Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and the effect of elevated androgen hormones on psychiatric outcomes.

Davidowicz is chair of the Women’s Mental Health Conference at Yale, the first academic and trainee-led conference on women’s mental health and reproductive psychiatry.
