Biography

Changin is a molecular virologist interested in understanding how viruses interact with host cells at the structural and molecular levels. His research focuses on the mechanisms of viral entry and virus–host interactions. Currently, he studies the structural organization and function of the minor capsid protein L2 in human papillomavirus (HPV), with the goal of understanding how HPV penetrates cellular membranes and traffics within host cells during infection. By combining structural biology, biochemical approaches, and computational modeling, he aims to uncover fundamental mechanisms of viral entry. His long-term goal is to understand structural mechanisms of virus–host interactions, particularly in viruses with zoonotic potential and cross-species transmission capability.
