Education & Training
Our Philosophy
Outstanding contributions to science are a product of curiosity, passion, determination and the right environment. The Department of Genetics strives to support early career researchers through extensive training, mentoring and the provision of key resources to enhance their career. To this end we have formed a Mentoring Committee to formalize the training of our Junior PIs, post-docs and postgrads, and an Education Committee that supervises our student group along with our DGS. The Department firmly believes that the path to exceptional science is through creating a supportive and positive environment for all of its trainees and faculty members. The Mentoring and Education Committees together drive new and existing initiatives in collaboration with all departmental members.
