Biography
Jin Cho earned his PhD in Computational Science: Computer Science from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC). Prior to joining CORE, he worked as a postdoctoral research associate and graduate research assistant at the Center for Urban Informatics and Progress (CUIP) – UTC. While at CUIP, Jin worked on multiple projects analyzing medical claims data (CMS & Local hospital) and deploying machine learning (ML) models to predict hospital discharge disposition status and 30-day hospital readmission status to improve quality of care, stroke management, and the eventual outcomes of stroke patients. He hopes to bring his expertise in ML and data science to CORE to make a difference in healthcare. During his spare time, Jin enjoys playing golf and trying various cuisines from different cultures.
