Biography

Afrida Faria, MPH joins Yale-CORE as a Health Outcomes Researcher II with over 7 years of experience in the public health sector. Prior to joining CORE, she served as the Manager of Health Equity Programs at Texas Health Institute where she led projects related to equity research and evaluation at the community, state, and national level. Afrida also brings experience in practice transformation and evidence-based program implementation from her work at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Her areas of interest and expertise include mixed-methods research and evaluation, quality improvement for healthcare, health disparities, cross-sector collaboration and capacity building, GIS mapping for population health, and mental health. Afrida earned her MPH from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
