YCSC Grand Rounds

Yale Child Study Center Pan Asian American Heritage Month Special Session

Asian Americans are seen as overrepresented in medicine. Insight into one physician's experience in medicine will be provided in this session. The speaker will also update the audience on recent advances in understanding the experience of Asian Americans working in healthcare.

The objectives of this talk are to:

  • Describe the events in US history that influence the speaker's identity as a Chinese American
  • Consider how the speaker's experiences as a Chinese American shape his clinical practice and research
  • Share four new research advances highlighting Asian American experiences in medicine


YCSC Grand Rounds sessions are typically presented in the Cohen Auditorium at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesdays from September through June, with a live stream available via Zoom. Internal participants are encouraged to attend sessions in person​​​​​. Details for this session will be added as soon as they are confirmed. This session will not be recorded.
