Robby Romero, MD, is an anesthesiologist and says he enjoys the manual and intellectual dexterity required of his field.

“In anesthesiology, you are able to see the immediate results of your interventions,” Dr. Romero says. “I especially enjoy being able to return a loved one to their friends and family after ensuring their safety through a potentially dangerous and trying time of surgery. I strongly believe that we as anesthesiologists are the ultimate patient safety advocates in the operating room.”

When it comes to reassuring patients, Dr. Romero says he tells them they have come to a reputable hospital with an educated and experienced staff. “We will take your care seriously, and know that you are a person who is someone's mother, son, or spouse, etc., and we will get you back to your loved ones.”
